SLIDE: LOMBARDICoach Vince Lombardi is still in grave condition at
Georgetown University Hospital in Washington tonight
suffering from abdominal cancer. Lombardi's wife
broke a two-month silence o$ the coach's condition
today and confirmed reports he is near death.
The 57-year old head man of the Redskins has report-
edly been in a deep coma for the last two days
although there h.s been no confirmation from the
hospital Lombardi has been a patient since a
second abdominal operation on.July 27th and the
fact he was battling cancer had been rumored for
several weeks.
