. Dear Fellowmen, you know
our schools are not good as they
ought to be, the teachers are,
poorly paid. Just think, have’
you a good school house, library, ,
black boards, good desks, drink-’
ing utensils, mapsvglobes, stoves
and good yard amd fence and
last; but mot least out of debt.
Now you know these things are
. needed if you want' your chil-
dren to get the education you so
desire.
The only way to raise money
for this purpose is to have a lo-
cal tax in ypur district. V Some j|
say take up a collection from the ;1
patrons of the vschooL This is
impossible I say, for if you ever
tried this you know, and if you
have not ;just ask some poor
preacher or school teacher, they
can tell you. The difference be-
tween a *’preacher and teacher
is that the preacher makes you
think you see ghosts when he
asks you for money, . but the
teacher looks like a ghost him
