A news item in the daily press
from Hearne tells a tale of the
advertising d<me by the mail or-
der houses in that locality and
complaint of theiaet that there
have Mtiy been wtributed
thereabouts the humberof fif-
teen hundred catalogues of these
foreign conceiiis and the state-
ment is made that it works a
great hardship on the local mer-
chant It is a reasonably safe
bet that the local'merchants are
doing very little to combat the
recitation, and acquired a speed
of 80 words per minute new mat-
ter. I completed the Byrne Sim-
plified in 13* weeks tune (six
weeks of the time I toqk book-
keeping and Shorthand), and ac-
quired a speed of 150 words per
minute, new matter.
The Byrne Simplified Short-
hand is, far superior in legibility
and speed to the Pitoian system.
Over half the time spent in
learning the 10,000 word sfgns in
the Pitman is spent by the Byrne
graduate in drawing a good sal-
ary in some business office. No
one can make a mistake’by en-
rolling in the T. C. C. for a com-
bined course of Byrne Practical
