night at the hall and elected the

Prof Eokhart made a balloon
asovnetou .this morning, taking
with him a oat in a littla para-
ohute. At a high altitude the
oat's parachute was turned loose,
but after a fall of some distance
the oat got loose from the para-
chute and fell to the ground,
killing it. The Professor made
the fall all nght, landing .near
the stock pens.
