circles of District Number 11
West Texas area were held at
the Shiloh Baptist church with
Rev. R.L. Parramore preach-
ing.
Miss Black El Paso was se-
lected at the El Paso Civic
Center before a large audience.
Bruce Traylor returned from
Pittsburg, Texas, where he had
been at the bedside of his moth-
er.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday at the Community
Baptist church for Rev. W.L.
Bouren where he had pastored
for eight years. Rev. Howard
Humphrey gave the eulogy and
Rev. Donald Gilmore officiated.
Interment was Friday In Gil-
mer. A number of local min-
isters and friends drove there.
Survivors Include his widow,
Mrs. Amanda Bouren; daugh-
ters, Mesdames Mary L. Mil-
ler of Baumholder, Germany,
and Willie Ruth Morris of Sag-
inaw, Mich., and a son.
Bob Maxwell Is In Southwest-
ern hospital.
Mrs. Ann Craft Is on vaca-
tion In Baltimore, Md.
Miss Glenda Gill has Just
returned from speaking engage-
ments In New Orleans, La.
Miss Gill Is a professor of

Baptist for Wallace B. Burns
who died April 10 at Guadalupe
Valley hospital.
Burns was a native Seguin
resident who attended schools
here and was life member of
Second Baptist.
He married the former Miss
Katie Downs who preceded him
In death in 1963. They had two
sons.
Survivors include his two
sons, Wallace M. Burns of Los
Angeles, Calif., and Albert
Burns of Seguin; two grand-
children, Albert Burns Jr., and
Shauna Burns, both of Los An-
geles; three great-grandchil-
dren, a nephew, Harry V. Burns
of San Antonio; a foster sister,
Mrs. Amy Davis of Seguin, a
great niece, great nephew and
other relatives.

In Huth Memorial hospital and

Mrs. Butler was native res-
ident of the Sweet Home Com-
munity, but for the past few
years was living with her daugh-
ter, Mrs . P.D. Carroll, In
Shiner.
Survivors are five daughters,

Shiner, Roy Ferguson of Vic-
toria, Willie Green, Oliver
Dickerson and Oscar Lenfy of
Sweet Home and Cosby Butler
of Austin; a son-in-law, Ted Hill

here. He served four years in
the air force during the Korean
war and later made his home In
Long Beach, Calif.
He came to Houston after-
wards where he died April 12.

a son, six sisters, six broth-
ers, one grandson and other
relatives.
