Louis • Hirtch, 68, of 2304 Smith
Street, died suddenly late Tuesday
Mr. Hirsch had livea in Houston fa*
50 years. He was a member of the
W. O. W. and of the Conroe lodge
No. 748, A. F. and A. M. He is sur-
vived by two sisters,'Mrs. Julia Bohn-
er and Mrs. Mattie Bliss, and a broth-
er, Joe M. Loeb, all of Beaumont.
The body was sent by the -Westheim-
er-Vollus Company at 8:05 a.m. Wed-
nesday, to Beaumont, where funeral ser-
vices were held at 3 p.m. from the
Pipkin ami Brulin Funeral Home, with
Rabbi S. Rosinger officiating. Burial
was in Beaumont Hebrew Rest Ceme-
tery,

Mrs. Minna Schwarz, 71, of 14
Mulberry Laae, died at her residence
Tuesday morning at 9:55. Mrs.
Schwarz is a member of Temple Beth
El Congregation ands^iad been a resi-
dent of Houston for the past nine
years. Surviving her are one son, I.
Schwarz; five daughters, Mrs. L.
Baron, Mrs. Robert Leon, Miss Rosa
Schwarz, Miss Balbine Schwarz and
Miss Hulda Schwarz, all of Houston?
three grandchildren, two brothers.
Herman Abraham of Shreveport, and
Michael Abraham of Germany; three
sisters, Mrs.. S. Hochberger of Shreve-
port, and Mrs. Rosa Lafhman of
Germany. Funeral services were held
from the residence, 14 Mulberry Lane,
at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rabbi
Nathan Colish and Rabbi Max Geller
officiating. Burial was in Adath Israel
Cemetery under direction of Westheim
er-Vollus Company. Pallbearers: Alec
Wolff, Dr.-Jacob List, Max Matgolis,
Max Leon, William Joseph- and Max
Goodman.

The marriage of Miss Ida Lily
Perel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.
Perel, to William Bauer of Waco, son
of Mr. and Mrs. B. Bauer, was sol-
emnized at the twilight hour yester-
day at the home of the bride’s par-
ents. Only the members of the fam-
ilies and a few close friends were
present at the ceremony, »
The impressive service was read by
Rabbi A. Lobel. Miss Sadie Wanger
was at the piano and Louis Goldstein
at the violin .for the wedding music
and( to accompany Irving Glick, who
sang "Oh, Promise Me,” as the bridal
solo. .
The ribbon bearer, who held the
wide white satin ribbons, which de-
fined the-path to the altar, included
Mrs. Leon Jacobson, Mrs. Jack Glick,
Miss Minnie Roggen and Miss Esther
Bishkin.
The bride was given in marriage by
her parents. The matron of honor was
Mrs. Joe Planto; Miss Faye Gordon
was maid of honor, and the bride’s
sister, Miss Bessie Perel, was brides-
maid. Eddie, Perel, brother of the
)ride, served as best man.
Following the period of congratula-
tion, a buffet supper was served the
guests'.
Upon their return from a wedding
trip Mr. and Mrs. Bauer will be at
home in Waco.
