A bridal shower at the Woman’s
Club, Wednesday afternoon, named
Mrs. James Dixon honoree.
A recent bride, she was former-
ly Miss Ginger Wilson of Miami,
Florida. Mrs. Dixon is visiting in
Rocksprings with her husband’s
mother and plans to return soon to
her home at Paris Island, South
Carolina, where Mr, Dixon is sta-
tioned with the U. S. Marines.
Greeting the guests with the
bride and Mrs. David Dixon,. Sr„
were Mrs. Sydney Snyder and
Miss Lana «uthrie.
Mr., Nolan Guthrie registered
the guests at the table laid with
madcria and holding an arrange-
is visiting in ^ ment pink and white blossoms,
with Mr. and The serving table was covered with
blue satin and net, gathered up in-
to garlands held by pink roses.
The centerpiece was pink roses
I flanked by blue candles in crystal
I holders. The brides cake was a
tiered confection decorated with
spun sugar roses and pink bells.
Mrs. Jim Roe Welch served
the cake and Miss Lana Guthrie
served punch. A bride’s contest
wa> won by Mrs. Gus Fleischer
who presented the prize to the
bride. Mrs. Lowell Hankins sang
“Because” accompanied by Mrs.
Ray Moody, who also entertained
with tea music.
