be brought over to little Mar-
garet O’Brien’s point of view as
the delightful little Irish miss
who puts up a battle for hkr
pixies against three unimagina- j
tive rich old men, as it unfolds j
on the Melba Theatre screen in1
the new M-G-M comedy, “Three
Wise Fools,” Saturday Prevue.
This is the story of three em-
bittered, cantankerous bache-
lors whose money has brought
them little happiness and who
try to win public approval by
the gift of an old estate to a
college for a Greek treatre.
Their plans are hampered by
the unexpected arrival from
Ireland of tiny Sheila O’Mona-
han, owner of the property, who
announces her intention of
making her home with the
bachelor trio, but who refuses
to sell them her property be-
cause it will mean that an old
oak tree will have to be cut
down to make way for the thea-
tre. The tree is the home of the
pixies in whom Sheila fervently
believes.
