Hobbs vs. PAAF—Pvt. Dick McKee, PAAF’s high scoring fonvard, goes up into the blue to drop in two of
the 14 points he scored against Hobbs. In a fast moving game, with the scoring lead changing hands many
times, Hobbs surged ahead in the closing minutes of the game to defeat PAAF 44-47. PAAF’s furlough weak-
ened team should rex<ert to its old u’inni*ig ways with the return of several of its key men this week.
“A Friend in Need, etc.”—The C.ls “big brother” is the term often
applied to the Personal Affairs office. Shown here going over some Cl
insurance data, are Lt. Lamar llill, Lt. William H. Grey, Pfc. Joseph
Nelson and Barbara Hindman. Insurance, Bonds and Army Emergency
Relief are just a few of the items this office handles. See page 2.
and reet pleat is a novel sight these days. John Mason gave the PAAF
show-goers a hilarious example of a toot suiter's tribulation, in a fast-
talking bout with Leonard Rogers. This was one of the many “big deals”
in last week’s fast moving l/SO show.
Service in the Sendee—Correct, efficient sendee is the rule as well as the motto at PAAF’s Base Operations.
Base Operation’s efficient way of handling air traffic brought them a “superior” rating in the recent 17th Wing
inspection tour. Here Sgt. Irudn Eudng is shoivn checking the flight plan of Capt. Dee Halbrook and Lt. Bruce
Farnow. In the background, PPOLT Roy Rhodes nuikes an entry on the local flight plan board, while S/Sgt.
R. M. Stunkard and Bertha Gullekson check incoming flight plans.
