Awards Presented In Library Pet Show
Awards were presented to the partici-
pants in the 16th Annual Olney Commu-
nity Library Pet Show held Tuesday
morning.
Dr. Don Rux from the Olney Veteri-
nary Clinic was judge for the event and
gave complimentary bags of Science
Diet pet food to each dog and cat entry.
Winners were named in dogs, cats and
other pets.

Annual dance will begin at 7 p.m. Satur-
day with music provided by the Robin-
sons of Mineral Wells.
Sunday, the luncheon will be served
between 12 noon and 1 catered by for-
mer Jean residents, Don and Carolyn
Presley of Fort Worth. After the meal
there will be a business meeting to elect
officers and hear financial reports from
the Jean Community Cemetery Asso-
ciation and Jean Community officials.

Healthcare with a birthday party.

Residents at Olney Healthcare Center
glazed ceramic ducks as Vena Jones
conducted ceramics class. They use
washable glaze so that spills don’t pres-
ent a problem for the residents or those
who help.
On Thursday employees brought
homecooked dishes for a special treat.
Everyone shares and eats together.
On Friday the film “Davy Crockett”
was shown and residents enjoyed pop-
corn and coke.
Cody Ashley led church services for
the Church of God with Patsy Kimbro
playing the piano.
Visitors this past week included Bob
and Gladys Rowe of Amarillo, Shelly
McBride and Kyle Rowe of Aurora,
Colo., Katherine Murray and Benny
