tion talk. The people in that end of
tho county say it is strengthening rap-
idly.

of Ben Wheeler and surrounding coun-

with a picnic. An invitation is exten-
ded to all.
—Farmers look after your farm im-
plements—take them in out of the
hot sunshine. You will want them
again, and unless taken care-of they
will he worthless.
—Lands me cheaper now than will be
in a year or two, and all who want
homes had better strike whilo the iron
is hot. That rail road will cause laud
to sell for more—mark the prediction.
—Mr. V. T. McCheaney left the ear-
ly part of the w eek for Wooten Wells,
where ho intends remaining until his
health improves. Wo hope to sue
him entirely convalescent on his re-
turn.
—In traveling through the country,
we find it is rapidly settleing up.
The amount of land put in cultiva-
tion last your is astonishing. Where
but a wildernesss existed a few years
ago, now line farms and good dwell-
ing houses.
—Mr. W. 1). Sides who lives near
the Carter church, livo miles south
of Canton, called on us Wednesday,

the box where you keep your w hite

can’t find your white necktie, look in
the blacking case. These rules al-
ways hold.

ns limestone. But it was not stilted
in the contract that such required

Crops aro exceedingly fine, as we

section, they can scarcely he sold at

On lost .Sunday eve. at 5:30. Miss
Annie McDonald and Mr. T. A. Kin
died, were united In the holy bonds
of matrimony, and took the evening

a gift, writes to us to know what the
law on the subject is. Wo can oulvsay
that under the heading of “Newspaper
Decisions, that have been frequently
published for the guidance of such ns
himself, the following seems to he
clear and explicit:
1. Any person who takes a paper
regularly from a poet office whether in
his nnmo or another’s or whether he
has subscribed or not is responsible fer
payment.
2. If a person ordcs his paper
discontinued, lie must pny all arrears,
or the publisher may continue tosend
it until payment is made, nnd then
collect the wholo amount, whether
the paper is taken from the offleo or
not.
3. Tho courts liavo decided that
refusing to take the papers or peri-
odieals from tho postoffice, of romov-
