the Arabian legends today is the
anniversity of the death of Abel
and advices from Jedda say that in
accordance with anoient practice
the (loots of the tomb of Eve
will be thrown open. Usually five
hundred visitors from abroad visit
Jedda for this occasion but this
year the number is nearly five
thousand. The temple over the al-
leged tomb has a palm tree growing
out of a crack in tho roof. The al-
leged grave is some 250 feet in
length having probably been made
to Jix the Iemaelitish belief that the
lirst woman was two hundred feet
in height.
