FORT WORTH, Oct. -7- flMS>—Tills
new mariage law doesn’t go well with
some people.
_It mussed, things up tor a Waco two-
man.
She had been •waiting fifty years to
marry and then she thought about
the marriage license—well, It meant
flvo days longer waiting_l__
The man in The case ,was in far-off
Colorado and scheduled to arrive in
Waco at a specified time. Everything
seemed set for an early “get off”,
when he arrived; then someone sud-
denly thought of that pesky marriage
license.
She was told that both partles-must
appear with one witness and make
formal application and after five
days the licenses would then be Is-
sued.
“Here I’ve, been waiting 50 years
to get married,” she said, and this had’
to happen.” The problem was solv-
ed by going to Oklahoma for the cere-
mony.
