Dallas state Baptist headquarters,
Hardin-Simmons University Exes
find strength in numbers.
Among the 11 former H-SU stu-
dents employed in the Baptist Build-
ing -,re f:ur departmental associates,
one bcol:keeper and five secretaries.
Geraldine Hill, a 1931 graduate, is
second only to Treasurer H. A.
Springer in years of service to the
convention. She has been bookkeeper
for Dr. Springer since 1939.
Floyd McCoy, Jr., a 1946 music
graduate, has been associate secre-
tary in the church music depart-
ment since 1955. He is married to
the former Mary Jane Carpenter, an
H-SU student in 1945-46.
John R. McLaughlin, '47, is a Sun-
day School department associate in
charge of vacation Bible school work
for Texas Baptists. Married to thef ',er Ioveta Wallace, he assumed
hi; pes lnt duties early this year.
The McLaughlins have two sons,
John Weldon, 7, and Travis Byron, 5.
