week as Houston TV producer;

community activity.
The movies taken will be
shown at Cole Theatre within
about a month, Graham said here

motion picture cameras at the
Lavaca Saddlery and its
prietors while at their

actually a talkie a narrator

day afternoon at the old school
building, with new members on
hand to be taken into the club
in grand style.

honoring Miss Irene Spies, bride
elect of George Gummelt.

Vivian and Gilbert Marek sang
Royce Spies on the guitar. After
the singing two contests were
held one was ‘showing the bride
how to make a cake” and the
other, “how to make her own
hats,” Mrs. Norman Litzmann
and Mrs. Gus Gummelt Jr., were
the winners. Then Gilbert Marek
sang “I love you because” anti
another contest which was a
Bible quizz, based on husband
and wife character of the Bible,
Mrs. Eric Gummelt, mother of
the groom to be was the winner,
all of the winning prizes were
presented to the bride.
In the opening of gifts the
bride was assisted by Marjorie
Gummelt Delores Spies, Lorene
Lorfing and Vivian Marek. After
every one had admired the many
beautiful and useful gifts, the
bride thanked each ajjd every
one for them and extended an
invitation to all, to attend the
wedding ceremony at the Shiloh
I.utheran Church on Tuesday,
July 17, at 9:30 o’clock.
For the closing song Vivian
Marek sang "May the Good Lord
Bless and Keep You.”

Irene Spies', bride-deck of this
month, was honored with a lunch-
eon at the home of Misses Esther
and Ema Gummelt.
The menu consisted of chicken
salad, cabbage slaw, sliced toma
