Judge B. B. Stone.
In this issue we take pleasure
in announcing Judge B. B. Stone
for reelection to the office of Coun-
ty Judge of Runnels county and
in doing so we point with pride
to the good record and faithful
and efficient work he has done
the duties of this important
office.
The question of roads confront-
ed him upon the beginning of
his administration. The popu-
lar clamor was better roads, but
Mr. Stone’s contention was that
“we need roads before we need
better roads” and he has secured
through his energy and business
ability getting some very valu-
able roads among the most im-
portant is the much talked of
road to Crews andContent which
brings these towns 3 miles nearer
to us, as well as two other roads
that branch off from this
road, thus tapping Taylor county
in three places and opening up a
most valuable territory for
Ballinger’s trade.
His success along other lines
is no less marked, and the fact
that his candidacy for a second
term is endorsed, almost, by the
entire county is the strongest
argument that his first term as
County Judge has been a success-
ful one.
