The Rices bought Teri’s steer
when he was two weeks old last
July in Junction and brought
him home at Thanksgiving. He
was given the name “Shaky”
because he shook like he was
nervous when the family first
bought him.
Despite her seven years ex-
perience, Teri said she would
rather become a secretary or
have an office job when she gets
out of school. She enjoys mathe-
matics and computers, and
went to Lee College in Baytown
for six weeks this summer.
Teri will soon be settling down
to her last year of high school
and her last year of showing
animals. She’s looking forward
to the Houston show in February
and plans to exhibit a lamb for
the first time at Dairy Day next
April.
