Hurrah For Kirk.
Our base ball team returned
home full of gratitude to Sheriff
R. P. Kirk at Ballinger for an
evening’s entertain cent at that
place that they wifi long remem-
ber.
“He treated us like kings and
we shall long remember his hos-
pitality with genuine pleasure
and we want to publicly tender
our thanks and express our
highest appreciation,” say the
boys.
Mr. Kirk treated the team to
ice cream and cake, melons, etc.,
and furnished charming music
through the Winters band, which
by the way, has gained consider-
able note as a dispenser of
sweet sounds.
The Reporter begs to assure
Mr. Kirk that theii fellow-towns-
men appreciate the courtesy to
the boys and hope to be able to
reciprocate at some future time.

country viewing the different
country roads with a view of
straightening them as much as
possible and getting the people
to take an interest in having
straight roads and good roads to
all points, it being of mutual in-

When we see it in that light we
we will have better roads and
