ty, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation understands
that life can present many obstacles, but it also knows
that it’s never too late to learn.

he could work on the family farm and help provide for
his family. With hard work and determination, Turner
started a nationwide company.
In 1993, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation was
established in his honor to better other people’s lives
and the lives of their families.
