High wind and cold weath-

last Saturday at the Hardin
Jefferson Relays at 3our Lake
and the team managed only a
fourth place finish in the 25
team meet.
Gary Mahaney and Doyle
Green were the only Oilers
who came away with first place
wins. Mahaney won the high
jump with five feet 11 inches
and Green clocked a 4*42.3
in his specialty, the mile run.
Coach Tony Smajstrla said
he was well pleased with the
teams performance consider-
ing the weather conditions.
"We rate one bad day a year
and I think this was it," Smaj-
strla said.
