Miss Rose Anderson of this
place and John Adams of Okla-
homa, were married Monday at
Hugo, Okla. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wal-
ter Anderson and is a charming
young lady. The groom is lit-
tle known here, but is an in-
dustrious young farmer.
There will be a Thanksgiving
program given by the pupils of
the school at the school house
Thursday afternoon. The pub-
lic is invited.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyce Teague
and children of Deport, spent- ]as( week at Gladewater.
Saturday with her mother, Mrs.
Jodie Harris.
A surprise birthday dinner
was giv&n Sunday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ander-
son in honor of Mr. Anderson’s
43rd birtnday, and his brother,
Pick Anderson’s 46th birthday.
Their birthdays being on the
same day. Sixty-nine guests
were present, all carrying well
filled baskets, and a bountiful
dinner was spread picnic fash-
ion. The afternoon was spent
playing forty-two and talking.

the pie supper held at Cross
Roads Saturday night for the
