APPEALS TO THE VOTERS OF LAMAR COUNTY
• •
The July primary is over and the runoff is to be
held on August 27th, and now you must choose a Repre-
sentative to represent every woman and man of Lamar
County^-one that will and is capable of thinking ^ilong
the lines that will be for the best interests of everyone
concerned.
Think, before you vote, whom you choose to re-
present you, whether he is going to be a person who has
an idea of what will be beneficial to the taxpayers, or
whether he is going to be a person who is seeking to
use the Representatives’ office as a stepping stone only
to further his own personal interest.
During the next four years the Legislature of
Texas is going to have to solve and settle some of the
most difficult problems, and these problems must and
will be settled by members of the Legislature who are of
mature age and mind and whose only'thought should be '
to the interest of the tax payers at home.
Here are some of the things that Would be bene-
ficial to the tax payers and what I will work to see en-
acted into laws, if elected:
Consolidation and elimination of unnecessary of-
fices and office holders in both county and state.
Re-Districting the state and elect fewer Repre-
sentatives.
Abolish the present fee system of pay to officials.
Abolish the present highway patrol in Texas.
Enact a law whereby homeowners and farm own-
ers will have an opportunity to repossess their
