This imbalance is also reflected in the make-up of the
board itself with Hays County residents holding four of
the positions on the board as against three Travis County
residents. Considering the fact that Travis County stu-
dents increased from a total of 221 last year to 296 this
year, while Hoys County enrollment decreased from 278
to 277, the trend of growth is clearly established.
It now remains for Travis County voters to decide whether
the management of their school district is to be assigned
to Hays Counties, by default or lack of interest or,pro-
