The annual audit has been completed by the Travis Co.
Auditor and shows that the District made $32, 396.69
from water sales and connection fees in 1969 as com-
pared to $25,603.14 in 1966. However, the operat-
ing expense increased from $12,986.53 in 1968 to
$17,375.56 in 1969. The profits increased from $12,
816.61 in 1966 to $15,021.33 in 1969. The copy of

In another school election involving two counties i n
the Leander, Volente and Jonestown area, two Travis
County citizens were elected to fill the two positions
involved, Sandy McSpadden and Johnny Lane. The
vote talley was McSpadden - 216, Lane - 169, Bonnet-
69, Pruett - 63, and Cagle - 81. The two new mem-
bers will be the sole representatives from Travis County

candidates from Travis County. We had gooa reason to
relieve that a majority of the folks in this area would
see it this way if we just brought it to their attention
and informed them as to what was involved.
The Directors asked that the delinquent tax roll be
turned over to the attorney for the District for immedi-
ate collection. The attorney fee as well as the pen-
alty and interest due on the taxes will be added to
the total bill mailed to delinquents. The Board also a-
greed to file for collection of delinquent taxes due
from 1961.
We hasten to once again make it dear that this news-
paper was NOT campaigning against any individuals or
group. I

In the Dripping Springs School District election held on
Saturday, April 4th, the two candidates representing
the lake area in Travis County were elected by com-
fortable margins. Dana B. Cashion and Bob Crowder
were elected along with a third member from the Hays

two positions that would provide the Travis County por-

193, Canion - 185, Meyers - 177, Williamson - 174,
and Wilson - 173. The incumbents were Trimble, Wil-
