Hamlett of Buffalo Gap, have their firstgrand
child. A little girl named Kimberly Ann who
weighed in at 9 lbs. 2 oz. Daughter Lisa and
son-in-law Joe Barrention are the proud par-
ents. They live over in Lakeway area.
Johnny Howeth is building a new house in
Lakeland Hills next to Wayne Smith's house,
for J. Bruce Beaugh.
Dianne Lewis has rented T.C.Hamby's place
in Hudson Bend Section *2. Welcome,
Dianne, we hope you'll like our area.
Fran and Charles Wray have just returned frorr
a trip to Ruidoso, N. Mexico, Lubbock and
Anson, Texas. While in Ruidoso they enjoy-
ed the snow and went to the ski resort to
watch the skiing. It was most fantastic and
beautiful. At a later date they will make a
trip to Harlingen to attend a Motor Home
rally. They plan to get in some fishing while
there.
HUDSONBEND

The new mobile home on Hudson Bend Road
belongs to Kathryn and Staton Lindeman.
Seems Roger and family will move into the
house. Mr. Mac's place is too small for a
growing family.
Off the sick list is Clyde Johnson. Glad to
see you up and around since your stay in the
hospi tai.
Jennie Stanley is still in the Shoal Creek
ideal. The traffic on 620 and Hudson Bend
Road was like some of the streets in Austin.
When we have nice weather everyone likes
to take a drive to our Beautiful Lake Travis.
Aren't we lucky to live in this area ?
The Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly
meeting Febru iry 7th. Coffee and refresh-
ments were enjoyed by all. Report of the
Chili Supper was very good. Attendance was Proud grand-parents, Valda and Harrold
good despite the bad weather. The Chili was
all sold out and more had to be purchased
from Hula and Eddie. Our thanks to Hula
and Eddie, Sonny Prinz and Bennie Lueders
for all their help.
New members for the Ladies Auxiliary are
Dorothy Worley, Mr. and Mrs. Max Nehr-
korn, Mrs. T. L. Flemister, Jessica Stud-
leigh, Carolyn Peterson, Erna Campbell and
Inette Bicknell.
The Boy Scout troup at Marshall Ford Baptist
Church is growing. About 25 boys are now
enrolled in the troup. Jody Modgling re-
ceived his Tenderfoot Badge at the meeting
which was held Tuesday night at the church.
The boys are planning a camp-out this week-
end at Lost Pines at Bastrop. All the boys
are enthused and looking forward to this
weekend. They will leave the church Sat-
urday morning at 7 A.M. and return Sunday
after lunch.

The Gordon Peases have joined the water dis-
trict and plan to move to the lake as soon as
possible.
Susan Webb (no relation to Evelyn and Hugh)
has rented a place in the Rocky Ridge sub-
division.
Freddie had to close and go to California to
a funeral. He's back in town but doesn't
plan on opening the cafe - at least not for
now..

Estates *1 has a radio program on KGTN-
Georgetown. His program "Echos of Faith"
is on Sundays at 9 A.M. Sonny plays the

Lions Clubs of Texas support three activities
specifically designed to serve the needs of
crippled children, diabetic children and the
blind, deaf and mjte. We are most anxious
to know of any children or adults in these
categories who live in this area who may be
helped. If you know of any, please write or
phone without delay so they may be consid-
ered promptly. Lions are most anxious to pro-
vide the handicapped children and adult
blind of this area with new opportunities for
Hospital. Jennie has had three strokes in the happier lives. You may write or call the
last three weeks.
Orpha Mae Barton is visiting for a short per-
iod. Bea and Norman Larson were hosts over
the weekend. Orpha Mae flew in to Austin
last Saturday and left for El Paso Tuesday

Since 1957, the Kerrville Camp has been used
as a rehabilitation center during the other
nine months, helping more than 800 adult
blind Texans become more useful citizens.
Last summer, the League sponsored its first
session of the Texas Lions Camp for Diabetic
Children using leased facilities at Friends-
wood for 111 youngsters.
The League's unique and beneficial projects
of service are financed by dues of Lions and
by gifts from members, clubs and others in-

still have coffee early in the morning.
Progress on the new school on 620 is slow. If
the weather stays good they will be pouring

Billy Jackson is sporting a new El Camino

Mr. Lehman on the corner of Eck Lane and
Rt. 620 is putting up a new chain link fence.

first time since her return from Denver. She
