Deloris Wuensch,
Jerry Kresta
United In Marriage
Miss Deloris Wuensch, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Lenz of Shiner, became the
bride of Jerry Kresta in an im-
pressive double ring ceremony
performed by the Rev. F. E.
Eilers in United Dr. Martin
Luther Church Saturday, March
26, 1966 at two o’clock in the
afternoon. The altar was graced
with arrangements of lavender
gladioli. Mrs. Raymond Dierk-
sen played the traditional wed-
ding music.
The bride, given in marriage
by her stepfather, wore a lilac
whipped cream street length
dress complemented with a
white lace jacket enhanced with
sequins and fashioned with long
sleeves that petal-pointed at the
wrists. A white hat and white
accessories completed her attire.
She carried a bouquet of white
carnations and wore a min-
iature heart pendant, a gift of
the bridegroom.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil L. Balu-
sek Jr. of Shiner were the
couple’s only attendants and
also served as witnesses. Mrs.
Balusek was attired in a powder
blue perma-lined lace ensemble
with which she wore a white
hat, white accessories and
white carnation corsage.
The bridegroom and best man
wore dark business suits with
white carnation boutonnieres.
Ushers were Jimmy Kresta of
Yoakum and Ray Hancock of El
Campo.
For her daughter’s marriage,
Mrs. Lenz wore a two piece blue
and white checked linen suit
with white accessories. The
bridegroom’s grandmother, Mrs.
Anton Koudelka, wore a blue
crepe dress. Each wore a white
carnation corsage.
A wedding reception, includ-
ing a barbecue supper with all
the trimmings, was held at the
Shiner Hermann Sons Hall.
Mrs. Jimmie Kresta of Yoa-
kum presided at the bridal reg-
ister.
The bride’s table clad with a
white linen cloth overlaid with
white lace underscored in pink
was centered with a three tiered
wedding cake. The confection,
which was highlighted with a
miniature bridal couple, was
flanked by white tapers in
crystal holders.
Following a wedding trip to
New Braunfels and Galveston,
the couple is making their home
in Shiner.
The bride, who attended Shi-
ner High School, is employed at
the Dairy Hart in Shiner.
The bridegroom is a 1956
graduate of Shiner High
School and served in Korea for
two years. He is employed at
Kaspar Wire Works.
