Christian college graduate hosts PBS sho
Where in the world is Carmen
Sandiego?
If thia sounds like a simple question, it
is not; it is much more. It's the title of a
multi-million best seller Broderbund
computer game.
It is also the title and plot of a popular
children's TV program hosted by Oreg
Lee, who graduated in 1985 graduate of
Oklahoma Christian University of
Science and Arts, Oklahoma City.
Who is Carmen Sandiego and why is
everybody looking for her?
She is the leader of Vile, a gang that
steala famous landmarks. Maybe they've
lifted the Eiffel Tower. Perhaps they've
swiped Abe Ijnooln's nose from Mt.
Rushmore. Crimes like these are nothing
to sneeze at. Better call in the gumshoes
Gumshoes are contestants on the show
who use their knowledge of geography to
track down the greedy globetrotters and
bring them to justice.
Lee helps the gumshoes along the way
as the program's host.
“It’s more than just a game show." Lee
said. “Maybe it will motivate kids to
leant geography."
The television show is based upon the
successful computer game, the first in a
series which includes other titles such as.
