Nichols was born Jan-
uary 12, 1892, began
preaching in 1917 and
preached a total of 59
years. Bro. Nichols
died November 16,
1975 after a series of
strokes and three bouts
of pneumonia. He
83 years and
months of age.
Brother Gus Nichols
funeral was held Nov-
ember 19 at the Sixth
Avenue church of
Christ in Jasper, Ala-
bama. Above 1500
people attended the
funeral of which about

A campground is being re-
served, plans are being final-
ized for the campaign, campers
are making prepaarations. This
first Camper Rally On Saving
Souls is where you ought to
spend your vacation. Larry
West of World Radio is coordin-
ating the rally. Reservations
for the May gathering of
CROSS are now being taken.

had carried on two
daily radio broadcasts

Grave side services
were conducted by
Glen Posey and James
Horton. The body lay
in state in the Sixth
Avenue church build-
ing for 30 hours before
the funeral; during
which time an honor
guard of gospel
preachers and elders
stood vigil contin-
uously. The local radio
station broadcast the
