Craig Post American Legion Cele-
bration, the Bof Scouts of the Ton
gua Area Council gave demonstra-
tions before a large crowd.
Two significant stunts were de-
monstrated by the Scouts of El
Campo, Columbus and Eagle Lake.
The., local Legion Post presented
to the Columbus Troop a library
of merit Badge Pamphlet for win-
ning first place in Scouting exhi-
bition. This was a dramatization
of a burning automobile, including
activities of First Aid, Safety
Firemanship, Signalling and tow-
er building. The El Campo Troop
gave a demonstration of Pioneer-
ing Bridge Building, Sparlashing,
rope work, fire making with flint
and steel, council fire alter con-
struction, tent pitching and camp-
ing.
Local Court of Honor had a
public session at which Scout
Drew Mayfield of Troop 36. was
presented an Eagle Badge bv
Lieutenant Governor Barry Mil-
ler. This is the first Ragle Scoir
Badge to be awarded since th-)
recent organization Of the Tonqua
Area. Governor Miller was made
an honorary member of the Ton-
qua Area Council.

No. 36 of El Campo were award-
