city schools for the coming year.
She will have charge of the
fourth grade. Miss Dulaney is
a young lady of fine subility as a
teacher, and the Navasota school
board will flndher valuable ad-
dition to the faculty. Miss Mary
Spanh, re-elected by the board,
formerly resided in this city,
and her success in teaching - has
been very marked, and ;is most
gratifying to her friends,’—Bry
an Eagle. ’
The base ball boys who have
for sonife time had Under consid
eration the use of the City Park as
a tJase ball ground have- finally
given it up. T|iey secured ap*
proval of their plans from the
Ladies of the Park Association,
but have come to. the conclusion
that it would be a great job to fix
the new grounds for play: and
even that could hardly, come
about this season. A serviceable
fence will at once be placed
about the present diamond and
seating facilities arranged.
