Santa Claus came to town Saturday morn-
ing and brought with him a good turnout for
Whitewright’s annual Christmas parade. Grand _
Avenue was lined with excited children and adults
who braved the cold and threatening rain to watch
the event. Approximately 20 entries were featured _
with Jerry and Bo Pettit leading the parade in the I
Whitewright police car and Santa at the end of the
parade throwing candy to all the children.

S.P. Jackson, who lives southwest of town
has been offered five cents for a number of his dou-
ble boll cotton seeds. Two years ago, Mr. Jackson
found a stalk of cotton in his field with a double

nineteen stalks and expects to plant half an acre of
the cotton next spring.
He received an offer of five cents each for a
number of seeds from a man in Missouri this week

Everyone needs a blessing- U)e all need to be encouraged, edified, compliment-
ed, and appreciated- And you have the ability to bless others- Be thankful that Sod
not only blesses you, but that He has made you a blessing- BJe all get weary at
times and need other people to let us know that we are valuable and appreciated-
I believe Sod blesses us so we can be a blessing—not only in a few places but
everywhere we go- Book for people who are needy and bless them- Share what you
have with those who are less fortunate than you are- find remember, everyone
needs a blessing—even the successful people who appear to have everything-
BJhen you live to meet needs and encourage those around you, you will find
“Joy unspeakable” in the process (see 7 Peter 1:8)-
