eph's School of Nursing After grad-
uation. She would like to specialize

cast of the Senior play this year.
She was elected freshman Civorite
and was a reporter of her junior
class. She has a letter in short-
hand and was a member of the Par-
liamentary Proceedure team that
won state.
She was president of her fresh-
man home loom, vice president of
her sophomore home room and sec-
retary of the junior home room.
She has been a member of the
F. H. A.. Junior Historical Society.

T. A., and F. B. L. A., and has ser-

JAMES LEWIS RANEY—Sal-

high school.
James has been Dram Major of
tlje Buckaroo hind for the past two
years. He plays first Alto Saxa-
phone in the stage band. For three
years he was chosen to play with
the All-District brand and this ytar
won a spot on the All-Region band.
He holds two letters in band and
three letters for stage band.
James has been named Who's
Who in Biology, Plane Geometry
and Solid Geometry. He is an ac-
tive member of Troop 18, Boy
Scouts of America.
President of the Science Club
this year, he has served as of-
ficer in the Library Club, Reading
Club, Biology Club and Junior His-
torical Society. He was vice presi-
dent of his freshman home room,
president of both his sophomore
.and junior home rooms. He-was a
member of the student council for
two years.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Dial
B. Raney, this eighteen year old
boy has gone to school in Brecken-
ridge for -?ight years. He attended
Caddo before coming here. James is
,m active member of the Baptist
Church.
After graduation, his plans in-
clude studying Chemical Engineer-
ing at the University of Texas. He
also wants to study for work in the
field of Nuclear reactions.

IKE FREDENBURG—Trombone

band, this seventeen year old senior
has lettered in band.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
M. W. Fredenburg, and he has been
a student here for 12 years.
'Until recently, Ike was very ac-
tive in the Boy Scouts, and he .al-
so is a past member of the Breck-
enridge Boys Choir.
His club activities have included
the Biology Club, Chemistry Club
and the Speech and Drama Club.
After graduation, Ike plans to at-
tend North Texas State College in
Denton.

Who's Who in Library, this eigh-
teen year old senior was a mem-
ber of the Library Club for four
years. She is chairman of the bulle-
tin board in the Library this year.
She has been in the John F. Bailey
Future Teachers of America for
three years and attended the state
meeting of that group in Denton
in 1966.
She will receive a Teen Age Li-
brary Association pin this year and
is the holder of a pin given last
year for 50 words-per-minute in
typing.
Her hobbies are reading, watch-
ing television. She has ,attended
school here for all twelve years.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Parker are her

She is planning to attend Texas
State College for Women,'- major-
ing in Elementary Education with
minor in Library Science. She has

two years. He was parliamentarian

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Thompson
are his parents, and he is married
to the former Regina Robbins.
Hunting and boating are his hob-
bies.
After graduation, he is planning
to enter the Air Force.
Students Attend
All-District Bond
Contest In Abilene
The All-Region hand contest was
held at McMurry College on Decem-
ber 1. Eight students .attended with
five making the band. Ninety con-
testants were selected out of more
than 300 entrants.
Those attending and their places
are James Raney, -,ilto sax; Jack
Pate, baratone sax; Johnny La-
Forge, bass; Don Roberts and Judi-
th Brannan, clarinet.
This is the first time in many
years that the Breckenridge band
has had entrants in the All-Region
band contest. -Jack P.ate placed a
first chair and was thereby elgible
to attend the All-State band con-
test
Three Spanish
Club Members
Attend ffiestft
Friday, Ajiril 5, three members
of the local High School Spanish
Club attended the Festival of Na-
tions, a fiesta sponsored by the De-
partment of Foreign Languages at
Texas State College for Women at
Denton.
The main program, Around
the World in Folk Fnntasy, pre-
sented by foreign students of the
college, was of special interest. It
included folk songs and folk danc-
es from Mexico, the Philippines
Israeli, Korea, Austria, India and
others. These were all done in na-
tive language and native costumes.

ing airlines of our country, a short
drama by speech students, and
foods, including pastries and sweets

Students making the trip were
Ann Carey, Jimmy Bear, and Jerry
Syrus. Thev were accompanied by
Mr. .and Mrs. M. A. Smith. Mrs.
Smith sponsors the looal group.
The high school Spanish group
will observe Pan-American Week
this week by giving a short radio
program from the local station at
10:50 a. m., Thursday.
