CONTRACT
A candidate may obtain a degree according to the requirements of the catalog under
which he/she enters the university or under the catalog for any subsequent year in which
he/she is registered, provided all requirements are completed within six years from the
beginning date of the catalog chosen. Degree requirements must be completed under
one catalog in effect during the student's enrollment at Howard Payne University.
Howard Payne University reserves the right to change degree requirements for all
students if it is needed to improve the degree programs and/or to make a curriculum
program consistent for all students. Changes in the academic program may be necessary
to improve the effectiveness of the educational program. All such changes are effective
at such times as the proper authorities determine and may apply not only to prospective
students but to those who already are enrolled in the university. All policies concerning
non-curriculum requirements are effective for all students as of June 1, 2017. This version
of the catalog will govern the 2018-2019 academic year from June 1, 2018 through May
31, 2019.
