Is there really a golf team
in PHS? Yes! There definitely
is! I feel that it’s time to let
everyone know.
The “big three”, football,
basketball and track, are widely
supported and deserve to be.
They are good team spectator
sports and utilize a large num-
ber of athletes. Golf, being
mainly an individual sport using
fewer competitors, lacks the
spectator appeal of the other
three, but it is a part of the
PHS sport program and some
recognition is in order.
Golf is the only sport which
some students participate in,
and their contribution to the
sports program should be noted.
It takes a lot of hard work to
become a golfer, most of it
being done on the student’s
own time.
