The plot of Thomas H. Ince’s mys-
tery comedy, “A Man of Action,” is
laid in fascinating San Francisco,
“City of Dreams.”
Helen Sumner, fiancee of a young
"jellyfish’ millionaire, tells him frank-
ly that he is lacking in initiative and
purpose in life, and that if she con-
tinues to love him he must become
"A Man of Action.”
How he manages, through a stroke
of fate, to see considerable of the
other side of life in his home town,
entrap his rascally trustee and win
the girl of his heart by becoming a
real hero, all within twenty-four
hours, makes this mystery-comedy un-
usual.
There is a laugh every second, and
Mr. Ince has selected a splendid cast
headed by Douglas Mac Lean, Margu-
erite de la Motte and Raymond Hat-
ton. Bradley King wrote the story,
while James W. Horne directed the
picture.
