in the State. The Hospital is said to be the secono
largest in the South.
"In this appointment Governor Campbell honored one
of Upshur County noblest citizens; a man of wide ac-
quanitaince a true democrat and a loyal friend.

The case of the State Vs Tom Sue, for the killing of
Brice i as gin n to the Jury on Tuesday night last after
a long and te isus trial and the exAmina ion of many
wtnesses. The verdict was guilty of murder and th
Jury assesed the penalty at 25 vears in the Penitentiary

The case seemed to develop what is termed a moon-

seemed to have its origin in Wood County except the
murder which was cor mi ted in Upshur the killing
took plac > about Christmas 1905; the parties seemed to
be all of them on both sides well appearing and kell

some penalty should be attended to murder in every
