Delbert Wagg, one of our best
friends, has been elected presi-
dent of the Denton Rotary Club.
In Feb. 1955, we had the fol-
lowing note from him and his
lovely wife, Hazel:
Delbert has had a great rec-
ord with Sears. He joined the
company in 1935. He came to
Denton as manager in 1950. He
went to Victoria in 1952 to open
a new Sears-Roebuck store. 1953
to 1959, he was Assistant Zone
Manager with the Dallas office.
1959 to 1964, he was manager
at Port Arthur. Then at age 52
he asked to come back to Den-
ton because they like to live
with their friends here.
The Waggs are very active
in First Baptist Church.

Dear Mr. Headlee:
You have been wondrful. As a
newcomer in Denton, you made
us feel at home and wanted.
You mean a lot to Denton and
to all people you come in con-
tact with through your wide
associations.
It is my prayer that God will
keep you in his will, with health,
happiness and continued pros-
perity.
Kindest regards,
HAZEL and D. J.

the Denton Rotary Club.
Dr. Jack Cross, president-elect, will make just as
fine a record.
The two stories below appeared in the April 1966
Doings. They are just as timely now as then. em
