TO BE HONORED
“Happiness Returned for Happiness”
Many, many persons, in Denton and beyond, in pic-
tures and story, have been presented through this
unique agent known as “DENTON DOINGS”, invented,
edited, published by the ingenuity of E. J. Headlee.
A hobby, yes; but more. It has also been an instru-
ment of good will for people of good will.
Its now our time to return the favor. Our time to
be the presentors. Some of us on the ground have worked
out what we invite you to share, and what we believe
will be a modest “thank you”, with an appreciation by
our honoree well above our simple efforts.
Sunday afternoon, October 29, 2 to 5, in Flinn Hall
at First Methodist Church, Denton, will be a come and
go reception with a double feature; celebrating the
€lome Town” Denton Doings and recognizing another
"Milestone on the calendar.
At 3 o’clock, all present will be called to order and
brief remarks and welcome will ensue.. On both sides
of this special feature, will be informal and friendly
visiting, not forgetting the reception table.
a This is YOUR invitation. All of us hope you can
Gd will accent. Your presence will add interest and
Kappiness to the occasion.
Your self-appointed committee:
Philip Walker, Chairman Delbert Wagg
Ben C. Ivey Terrill Wheeler
Bob Neale Allie Miller

GOOD TO LIVE! SAYS E.J.H.
What if you had been old enough to play football
in college in the year 1900?
Ever picture yourself wearing a long, curled mus-
tache, reaching back toward the ear, in order to appear
mature for school kids?
Ever imagine yourself being known by many people
in many states just by what you would say about
people you knew?
Do you have any idea about what you will be doing
at the age of four score and seven ? (Lincoln’s Gettys-
burg address: ‘Four score and seven years ago . . .’)
Here’s a man who is already there — and he’s go-
ing on, a good deal the same ... A friendly howdy to a
man like this and to this man in particular will be a
memorable time. Let’s team up to make this a good one!
