Two .more arrests have been
made in connection with the
wholesale beer and whiekey

The par value of Lake Dever-
nia stock is $200. But since
January the 1st the stock has
paid 200 per cent in dividends.
They' have just paid a divi-
dend, the stockholders here
having received their checks on

ing of the Baptist General Con-
vention from November 9 to
November 16. The convention

raising of $600,000 for missions
and benevolences by means of

Austin, Sept. 15.—The well
allowable in the East Texas oil
fjeld was cut from fifty to for-
ty-six barrels daily by the Rail-
road Commission Thursday, the
new order to become effective
Friday at 7 a. m. and to expire
Oct. 1. The maximum allow-
able for the field is 375,000 bur
rels daily.
.Since Sept. 1, the well allow-
able of fifty barrels a day has
been in effect, and previous to
the setting of that allowable
production hail been limited to
forty three barrels a day per
well, with a top allowable of
325,000 barrels daily.'

Deputy sheriff Clem Hill and
Officers Gorman and Painter,
made a raid at an old house in
which peanuts were stored,
down between ladewater and
Big Sandy. Tuesday night, and
brought in 109, half gallons of
whiskey. They went back Wed
nesday morning after 43 half
gallons that • they were unable
to bring in Tuerday night.
They also captured 80 gallons
of beer jst ready to be bottled.
They arrested and brought in
a negro who 6 lived on the
place and who told them there
was no beer there when he
