Wm. B. Travis chapter, Daughters of
the Republic of Texas, will meet at the

meeting before the annual reunion.
—Yesterday at the station Gus
Evans reported finding a little colored
girl who was lost on Congress Avenue.
The child was left in care of Carrie
Bright, No. 1107 Nueces street. Later
the child was returned to its parents.
—Yesterday morning in the Fifty-
third district court the motion to set
aside the judgment in the case of W.
A. Farris, et al. against Andrew. Love,
et al. on note and lien, was granted
and plaintit has leave to amend and
make new party defendant.
—Charlie Williams, charged with
disturbing the peace on the 17th day of
March, by using profane language,
was fined 35 in the police court yester-
day.
—The Junion Young Men’s Christian
Aseociation baseball team defeated the
Tenth ward baseball nine yesterday
afternoon in a dlosely contested game
by a score of 8 to 7.
—Yesterday morning In the Fifty-
third district court the case of Martha
J. Hancock against Booker Hancock;
suit for a divorce was dismissed on
motion of the plaintiff.
—The Deaf and Dumb Institute
baseball club will play the St. Ed-
wards' college boys on the Institute
grounds this afternoon at 3 o'clock.

-The case against Albert and Avery
MeCraddock, charged with burglary,
were dismissed in the Twenty-sixth
district court yesterday morning on

—Geo. Flegel, Jr., who had both
hands burned Thursday afternoon at

terdax, although his wounds are very
