present for the Tug-of-War and
Recreation Night held Novem-
ber 14 in the Texan Dome.
First place in the coed sack
race went to Debbie Jones
and Stubby Howell with second
place going to Janet Morris
and Keith Crowder.
In the sack race, boys’ divi-
sion, Larry Christesson and
Jack Altman received first pl-
ace and Stubby Howell and Kei-
th Crowder received second.
Janet Morris and Debbie Jo-
nes won first place in the girls’
sack race with Sharon Johnson
and Cicila Packard winning se-

This Friday, the 22nd, the
SPC Band will present its an-
nual Christmas Concert in the
Dome during activity hours,
10:00-10:30 a.m. A program of
Christmas and popular ’greats
will be included in the con-
cert.
The Band will start off with
the theme from “The Bible,”
one of the more memorable re-
cent works. Scott Couch, assis-
tant band director, will perform
a special solo on “The Ode for
Trumpet,” with Alfred Reed
conducting for the number. “El
Capitan March,” by John Philip
Sousa, will provide a rousing sa-
lute the the sports world.
Two special arrangements
are included. Joil Leach’s ar-
rangement of Jim Webb’s “By
the Time I Get to Phoenix”
and a special version of “Ame-
rica the Beautiful” will round
out a half - hour of great lis-
tening.
Students and teachers are
welcome for the performance,
and the admission is free.
Intramural Basketball: All
teams participating in the In-
tramural Basketball Pro-
gram are asked to please set
up a practice game. Contact
the Intramural Office and set
up time for practice.

For the program, Mr. Larry
Don Wiley, music instructor,
will show slides taken from his
tour of Paris and Europe while
telling of his activities during
his stay there. Conference Ro-
om I of the Student Union Build-
ing will be used for this pur-
pose at 7:30 p.m.
The Math-Science Club has
stressed that the faculty and
students who might be interest-
ed in Mr. Wiley’s Program, are
invited to attend this meeting
also.
