A $2,300,000 bond to finance a
central sewage system in the Porter
Municipal Utility District was passed
in January reports James C. Johnson,
president of the district.
The bond money will be com-
bined with a $2,747,000 E.P.A. grant
and a $102,000 FmHA grant to finance
the project for which final plans and
specs should be begin within the next
few weeks.
Anticipated user costs, says
Johnson, will be an $11 minimum for
3,000 gallons with an average sewer
bill of approximately $14.50 per
month. Sewer services will be run to
the customer’s property lines.
- The present tap fee for the
service is $30 and those persons who
have not yet paid the fee are asked to
bring it by the Porter Water Supply
Company Corporation just off old 59 in
Porter.
