‘Uncle’ Louis Schmidtzensky’s
puzzled paramount pitching, com-
bined with good support and team
work/ enabled the Luckenbach Ti-
gers to edge out a two to one vic-
tory over Seipp’s Leopards on the
latter’s home grounds last Sunday.
A crowd of baseball-hungry, heat-
weary, sun-parched fans paid a
grand total of twenty-six dollars, at
ten cents per, to see one of the
best, most interesting and exciting
basement. Llano is a new threat in
the league race, however, since the
addition of Arnold, the former
Richland Springs pitching ace.
Arnold has been signed by the
Llano team, and it is said that he
is one of .the best pitchers in the
league.
The withdrawal of Lampasas
from the league made it possible
for Legion to come in and take up
where Lampasas left off. The
Legion boys are composed mostly
of Comfort player's and their loss
on Sunday to the Giants on the
local diamond is no barometer of
their true strength. At least Legion
is expected to do as good or accom-
plish as much as Lampasas did.
