To the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
SIR: In accordance with the act of June 15, 1916, entitled "An act to incor-
porate the Boy Scouts of America and for other purposes," I have the honor
to present herewith a copy of the Forty-fourth Annual Report of the Boy
Scouts of America for the year 1953.
This report includes the proceedings of the year, particularly with respect
to progress made toward achieving the objectives of our "Forward on Liberty's
Team" program. Also included are the reports of the 12 regions, of the
treasurer and finance committee and of the National Court of Honor, followed
by a summary of our membership and lists of our national officers, members
of the National Council and professional staff, and a chronology of the high
spots in Scouting history.
