Farah suede...looks like suede, feels like suede, yet it’s
actually man-made fiber, polyester with soil release
finish. As practical, lightweight comfortable as it is
classically good looking. In this-season’s colors, 36-46.

Christmas is a time of salvation. Christmas is a time to
give our lives to Jesus Christ fully and receive salvation.
However, just like any Christmas present, the gift of
salvation must be accepted personally.
President Andrew Jackson pardoned a certain George
Wilson who was sentenced to hang. He had been
convicted of robbing the mail and murder. However,
Wilson refused the pardon, and the case went before the
Supreme Court. Chief Justice John Marshall gave the
decision:
" ‘A pardon is a paper, the value of which depends upon
its acceptance by the person implicated. George Wilson
must be hanged.”
And, he was!
Jesus was bom into the world to save man from his sin
and bring us peace with God. Salvation is free. Not to
accept the salvation offered us is foolish. Let Christmas be
the time of your salvation.

LISD Board Member
The Lewisville School
board, at it’s regular De-
cember meeting heard the
results of the first admin-
istration of the TEAMS
test. This is the new test
that is required for all stu-
dents to take and pass
before they can receive
a high school diploma.
On the statewide level,
83 per cent of Texas’ stu-
dents passed the TEAMS
test on the first try. Ones
who didn’t get another
chance in February.
On the local level, LISD
did much better than the
statewide averages. In the
mathematics portion, 96
per cent of the 915 students
tested passed successfully,
and in the language arts
section, 97 per cent passed.
The breakdown by groups
is also interesting, and
shows the school officials
