Domestic Sales Organized
Reorganization of the domestic
sales division under Stanley Means,
domestic sales manager, Peoria, with
the service manager as one of ten de-
partment heads, establishes the office
of chief service engineer in each of
the three sales areas: eastern, central
and western. Each chief service en-
gineer will have territorial service en-
gineers under his jurisdiction, located
similarly to district sales representa-
tives. Installation starts with the
eastern area.
Wendell Richards is transferring
back from market research manager
to his former territory as district
representative and a new market re-
search manager is taking over.
The new set-up makes domestic
sales a self-contained sales organiza-
tion, except f o r advertising, with
which close cooperation will be main-
tained through General Manager Os-
car Nelson. The chart indicates the
functions of each department.Tech Oked As Jr. College
LeTourneau Technical Institute of
Texas has been approved as a junior
college by Texas State Department
of Education, following inspection by
Mrs. Nell Parmley, assistant state
superintendent.
Application will now be made for
approval by the Texas Association of
Colleges and Universities. When that
is granted, the Southern Association
of Colleges and Secondary Schools
will be asked to accredit the school.
TECH ADDS TWO INSTRUCTORS
Two new instructors added to Le-
Tourneau Tech staff are Jack Craw-
ford, mathematics, and Langford
Outlaw, machinist. Jack, coming
from Stanolind Oil & Gas Co., Tulsa,
Okla., has taught math at Texas
A & M College. Langford, who has
28 years of experience as a machinist,
taught in Lamar College National De-
fense Training at Beaumont during
the war and for the past two years has
operated his own machine shop at
Beaumont.116;)
