ST. EDWARD’S STUDENT IS NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF NFCCS
Carlos Rodriquez, a St. Edward’s University Junior, assumed the national presidency of the National Fed-
eration of Catholic College Students, April 27, when the current president, Marty Sullivan of Sienna College
was inducted into the Army. Rodriquez will direct the annual NFCCS National Convention this summer at
Cincinnati Ohio. The NFCCS represents 100 Catholic colleges in the United States. Rodriquez, who is a resi-
dent of San Antonio, Texas, will reside in Washington, D.C., at the NFCCS Headquarters during the summer.
REGIONAL DIRECTORS MEETING IS SEPT. 24, 1966
The third annual meeting of the Regional Directors of the St. Edward’s University Alumni Association has
been scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 24-25 at the Lakeway Inn on Lake Travis, Texas. Programs submitted
at the annual Re-union meeting will be discussed.
The Very Reverend Germain-Marie La Lande, CSC, Superior General of the Congregation of Holy Cross,
in the recent Vatican II church council. He is a native of Canada.

RENE GREENWALD IS “MAN OF THE YEAR”
Rene Greenwald, June graduate of Albany, N. Y., was named the 1966 Hilltopper “Man of the Year.1
Greenwald, SAC vice-president, has been the leader in the CCD and Mexico projects.
BERNARD JOHNSON HEADS LAY TRUSTEE BOARD
Bernard Johnson, Sr. president of the Bernard Johnson, Engineers, Houston, Texas was elected chairman
of the Board of Lay Trustees of St. Edward’s University at the annual Spring Meeting, April 30.

ST. EDWARD’S IS HOST TO NATION’S CSC BROTHER SUPERIORS '
St. Edward’s University and the South-West Province of the Brothers of Holy Cross were also host to all
the superiors of the three provinces of the Brothers of Holy Cross during Holy Week. The occasion was a
retreat attended by the Mid-West Provincial, Brother Donatus Schmitz, CSC, and the Eastern Provincial,
Brother John Donahue, CSC, in addition to all local superiors, vocational directors and directors of houses of
formation.
