Charles P. Ranney of Route 1,
Boerne, died at age 36 on Feb.
26, 1977. He was born in San
Antonio and had been a citizen
of Boerne since March of 1976.
Mr. Ranney attended San
Antonio College and Trinity
University. He was employed
as a licensed Insurance Claims
Adjuster for fourteen years and
had been with the United
States Fidelity and Guarantee
Insurance Company of San
Antonio and Austin for the past
seven years.
Mr. Ranney is survived by his
mother and father, Mrs.
Camille Hankamer of Boerne
and Gilbert Ranney of San
Antonio; his step-father
Kendall County Deputy David
B. Hankamer, and three
children, Cheryl Lynn Ranney,
age 6, James Edward Ranney,
age 13, and Alan Todd Ranney,
age 14, all of Boerne.
- He is also survived by his
- brother, Mr. Jimmie L. Ranney
and sister-in-law, Mrs. Judy
Ranney and uncles and aunts,
Mr. and Mrs. Tress V. Dossett
and Mr. and Mrs. Robert E.

CLARENCE M. HOLEKAMP - CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
& SENIOR EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Clarence Holekamp was born in Boerne, Texas, son of the late Paul and Hedwig
Flach Holekamp. who were members of pioneer families in this area.
After finishing High School in Boerne and Alamo City Business College in San
Antonio, he was employed by the Boerne Chamber of Commerce as Secretary and
later by Kendall County Abstract Company and County Tax Office.
Clarence started his banking career as bookkeeper in January 1927 and after
serving in all elective offices, he became President in 1969 and in January 1977 was
named Chairman of the Board and Senior Executive Officer. He has served as a
Director of the Boerne State Bank since 1945.
He has been an Officer and or Director of both the Boerne and Rural Fire
Departments, Boerne Turn Verein, Kendall County Fair Assn., Kendall County
Junior Livestock Show, Boerne Shooting Club nd various civic, organizations.
Served on board of Boerne Ind. School Dist. and as playing manager of the Boerne
White Sox Baseball Club while members of the Hill Country and Mountain Leagues.
He is a member of St. Helena’s Episcopal Church, having served as Warden and on
the Vestry.
Clarence’s family is: wife, Selma; Son, Lloyd M., his wife Joanne, and children Paul
M. and Carol Ann; daughter, Jeanette, her husband John L. Young, and children
David and Diana.
