There will be services in the
Methodist church Sunday for the
first time in three weeks. The
building has been undergoing
repairs inside and out, and is
now one 6f the handsomest
churches in East Texas. The
ceiling is a beautiful tint of blue,
with a heavy border of hand-
painted vines and roses, and the
walls are a delicate pink. These
combinations give a happy ef-
fect, which must be seen to be
appreciated. Rev. J. S. Matnis
is preparing a special sermon
for next Sunday, and he can be
depended upon to do full justice
to the occasion. Everyone should
come next Sunday, not only to
see the beautiful church, but to
hear what Bro. Mathis has to
say, for he is one of the grandest
men in the Methodist ministry
today, and always says some-
thing worthy of being stored
away in the hearts and minds of
men.
