with a visitor to Family Worship Center as part of their
“drive-thru prayer” program on Saturday.
On Saturday, the Family Worship Center, a church on FM 1704 south of Elgin, gave away hundreds of 19-
pound boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables to families in vehicles driving through their parking lot. The church
distributed a total of around 1,500 produce boxes and served over 1,000 households with both food and
prayer. The next produce distribution will be on Tuesday, August 29 at 10 a.m.
NOTE: Due to health concerns and restrictions regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, many events county-wide have
been canceled and postponed. For the latest status on these events, please check online.

TOY CAMP OUT
If your toy went to camp, what do you think they would
say? What stories would they come back with? What would
be their favorite part? Now’s your chance to find out! Send
your favorite hard plastic toy (no electronics or stuffed ani-
mals) off for a night of adventure in the Elgin parks system!
They’ll visit Morris Pond, Elgin Memorial Park and more on
their night of exploration. For $2, all your toy's needs will
be taken care of, and upon their return from camp, you’ll
receive postcards, pictures and souvenirs of their trip.
Toys can be dropped off between August 10 and August
14 and will be picked up on August 17 and 18.
